Himalayan Crystal Salt Lamps work as a natural ionizer, air purifier and dehumidifier. When the minerals in the salt lamps are warmed they naturally emit negative ions. HIMALAYAN CRYSTAL SALT PRODUCTS

Water and salt are the key elements for the creation of life.
The human body consists of the two elements, water and salt, in fact the ash left over after the cremation of a body is pure salt.

Himalayan Crystal Salt has been formed from the remnants of an ancient ocean which dried up around 250,000,000 years ago. Long before there was such a thing as pollution on our planet. It has been subjected to enormous pressure over millions of years in much the same way as Diamonds are created. The pressure is responsible for creating the salt crystals. The higher the amount of pressure the more superior the state of order within the crystalline structure. There are 84 different minerals in Crystal Salt, that is every single mineral that is in our body. The minerals in the Crystal Salt are in such small particles that they are able to pass directly through the cell walls and are 100% available to the body.

Common Table Salt on the other hand has nothing in common with Himalayan Crystal Salt. It is an aggressive cellular poison that has been “chemically cleaned”, all the minerals and trace elements are stripped from it. The reason for this is that about 93% of the world’s salt production is used for industrial purposes. It is essential for the production of soda, laundry detergent, varnish, plastic and pvc to mention just a few. All of these things require pure Sodium Chloride. The other natural elements are discarded as impurities.
About 6% of the world’s salt production is used by the food industry as an inexpensive food preservative. There is hardly a ready to eat or fast food product that does not contain sodium chloride. This has been a blessing to the food industry because they have been able to extend the shelf life of many products for up to one year. It has however been a disaster for the human body.
Table salt also has additives such as fluoride to make it white and aluminum to make it flow; both of these are carcinogenic and are linked to cancer.

Sea Salt would seem like a viable alternative, however the oceans have been polluted with heavy metals like, lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury to name a few. In addition to, or as a result of this over 80% of all sea salt producers are refining their salt so it no longer has the same positive impact on our health as it used to.

Rock salt is also an improvement on table salt; however the minerals have not undergone sufficient compression to be fully fused into a crystalline structure. This means that although most of the natural elements on Earth are found in rock salt, they are too coarse to be absorbed into our cells. It is at best a cheap and natural alternative to table salt.

The ground Crystal salt is a healthy replacement for table salt. Because the minerals in the Himalayan Crystal Salt are present in such a fine crystalline structure they are able to be 100% utilized or disposed of by the body. Himalayan Crystal Salt also helps remove existing Sodium Chloride deposits in the body, which are a major cause of Arthritis, Gout, hardened arteries and Kidney stones. It will also continue to counteract the buildup of sodium chloride we put into our bodies from the consumption of processed foods.
If you think you are okay because you don’t use common table salt, have a look at the preservative labeling on most processed foods. You will see that almost without exception the preservative is Sodium, and in alarmingly high quantities.
Ground crystal salt can also be used to make the Sole which is discussed latter.

The Salt Crystals can be used as a bath crystal. In contrast to a normal bath in which moisture is extracted from the skin, a salt bath allows salt to be stored in the upper callous layer of the skin and binds water. This maintains the natural protective film of the skin and the skin does not dry out. This is the reason why salt baths are so good for dry skin.
The salt bath also has a very powerful cleansing effect. The toxins in the body are released into the bath water through osmosis, while the minerals from the salt are absorbed through the skin. This reduces the acidity in our body and balances the PH of our skin.
To prepare the salt bath, place 500gm to 1kg of crystal salt in the bath tub and fill the bath with enough water to cover it. After ½ an hour the Crystal Salt will be dissolved. Now fill the bath with enough water to cover you. Do not add any other bath products. The water temperature should be at body temperature or slightly above. Stay in the bath for approx 30 minutes.
Be aware that as with any detoxification process it is important to drink plenty of fluids during and after the bath and also rest afterwards. The salt bath is demanding on the circulatory system, if you suffer from any heart condition consult your doctor first.
A less strenuous alternative is reduce the crystal salt volume and use it in a foot bath.
The salt crystals can also be used to make the Sole which is discussed later.

The Crystal Salt Soap can be used as a natural alternative to commercial soaps which are full of chemicals. Because salt is so hostile to bacteria it cleans the skin extremely well. It is also a very convenient way of applying Crystal Salt to the skin surface; it is very effective in treating any Skin disorder such as Psoriasis, Eczema, Dermatitis, Acne, etc. It can also be used as a natural deodorant, simply wet the Salt Soap and wipe it on. For ongoing use during the day simple wet the Salt Soap and put it in a small Zip lock plastic bag, it is now ready to carry with you.
If the soap becomes slightly rough after some use the surface can be smoothed again with a kitchen pot scourer.
